The group, as we foresaw, is very enthusiastic and willing to learn and try new things. They come from different backgrounds and work at different levels.
Today we discussed about the present status of English and its future and how this reflects in language teaching. We wanted to give a broad view to contextualize all the topics that will come next.
First day: very good experience for the teacher- and I hope for the participants too!

The day before the first day of class
The faculty at the English Department is very excited about the beginning of the certificate program on ELT. We've worked hard and feel we're ready, but there are always last-minute details that need to be covered.
The first day is always full of expectations from both parts, participants and teachers. But we'll try to do our best job, and we're sure students too.
